ASBESTOS SURVEYS
ASBESTOS SURVEYS
We undertake asbestos surveys as specified within the HSE’s HSG264 Guidance. All surveys are individually tailored to suit each client’s requirements and are designed to locate, inspect and determine each type of asbestos.
If you own or have a responsibility for a non-domestic property, for example a shop, office or industrial property, and it was built before 2000, the law requires you to have an asbestos management survey undertaken and a management plan in place for the asbestos identified. In addition to this, the law also states you must have an asbestos refurbishment and demolition survey if you undertake any refurbishment or demolition works on a building constructed before 2000.
We undertake asbestos surveys as specified within the HSE’s HSG264 Guidance. All surveys are individually tailored to suit each client requirements and are designed to locate, inspect and determine each type of asbestos.

ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT SURVEYS
An Asbestos Management Survey will generally include a non-intrusive inspection of walls, floors, ceilings, ducts (where accessible), service risers, lofts etc. Our surveyors will inspect all areas of your property to locate as far as reasonably practicable any asbestos containing materials which are visible and not concealed. This includes all areas where general maintenance takes place. Whilst an asbestos management survey is non-destructive, there may some signs of minor disturbance although this will not cause any major damage to the property.
ASBESTOS REFURBISHMENT & DEMOLITION SURVEYS
An Asbestos refurbishment and demolition survey is required to be undertaken before the demolition or major refurbishment works commence to any property built before 2000. These types of survey are fully intrusive and extensive damage will be caused as the surveyor needs to get back to the fabric of the building. The aim of this type of asbestos survey is the locate all asbestos containing materials (ACM’s).
